Day 1: Pick up & Transfer by road to Volcanoes National Park
Enjoy an early morning breakfast and after, expect to meet your Rwanda safari expert for briefing and pick up from the hotel in Kigali City. Leave the hotel for you to have a short city tour which involves visiting sites like the Kigali genocide memorial –also a designated UNESCO site. Have early lunch in Kigali and connect up to Volcanoes National Park.
Kigali to Volcanoes National Park road trip takes about 2-3 hours and en route, expect to enjoy the breathtaking views of stunning countryside characterized by rolling hills. Arrive early for you to check in your respective accommodation options.

After a hefty breakfast, expect to report at the Kinigi area to meet the park official. You will get briefed about gorilla trekking rules and regulations. The park official will assign a habituated gorilla family for you to explore in your group of 8 people. Each group of trekkers will also be allocated one experienced guide.
Today, expect to leave with some pack of lunch, snacks, and other essential. It will be a long day search for gorillas in their habitat and the entire adventure may go for 2-6 hours. The 2-6 hours of trekking with gorillas covers a special one hour for up close and personal encounter.
Return from the Volcanoes National Park jungle to have a short rest and after, you will check out of your gorilla safari lodge. Begin your return road trip to Kigali 2-3 hours’ drive and you will be dropped off at the hotel or direct at the airport for departure back home.
