This 5 Day Gorilla & Queen Elizabeth tour combines the best of Uganda gorilla trekking and wildlife safaris. You will begin your trip by exploring the wonders of Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will enjoy a game drive and boat cruise.
At Queen Elizabeth National Park, expect to come across the small and large mammals. The guided game viewing tour will be experienced along Kasenyi plains and expect to see lions, elephants, cape buffaloes, leopards, hyenas and many of antelope families.
After the game tours in Queen Elizabeth, your next visit will be Bwindi National Park in the far Southwestern Uganda. The major highlight of your Bwindi tour will be gorilla trekking. This will be done in one of the 4 regions in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Along the way to your destinations, expect to explore other sites including the equator crossing.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Day 1: Pick up at Entebbe/Kampala city and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Meet and greet with our drive/ guide at Entebbe city then after begin your Journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will pass through Mbarara city and en-route, enjoy the views of the attractive farm lands. A stopover will be had at the equator crossing then proceed for lunch in Igongo. From Igongo, continue to Queen Elizabeth National Game Park to check in your accommodation.
Dinner and overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge (Luxury)/Kyambura Game Lodge (Mid-range)/Enganzi Lodge (Budget).
Day 2: Game viewing in Queen Elizabeth National Park
Wake up and have a cup of coffee or tea then go for an early morning game drive along the Kasenyi plains in search of lions, hyena and other big game. The morning game drive session will run for 2-3 hours. Return to the lodge for full relaxation until lunch time.
In the afternoon you will partake in boat cruise along Kazinga Channel which joins Lake Edward to Lake George. The Kazinga channel launch cruise will get you the best sights of hippos, crocodiles plus buffalos, elephants and more.
A good number of avian species will also be spotted including fish eagle, saddle billed stork, malachite kingfisher and the pink pelican. You are advised to come with a camera for some photos.

Day 3: Queen Elizabeth National Park to Bwindi Impenetrable National park
Leave Queen Elizabeth National Game Park to Bwindi Impenetrable National park passing through Ishasha area. While here, you will try your providence to see tree climbing lions then after proceed to Bwindi where you will trek the mountain gorillas. Your accommodation will depend on the gorilla family that is allocated to you by the Uganda Wildlife Authority.

Day 4: Gorilla Tracking in Bwini impenetrable park
This day is marginally different from other days. You will be required to wake up early in the morning have a breakfast then head to the head ranger station for briefing about the dos and don’ts. This will be followed by allocation of gorilla groups and park ranger guides. The briefing will be conducted in the respective region as directed by the gorilla permit you booked.
The actual search for Bwindi mountain gorillas will begin at around 8:00 am and will go for 2-6 hours. But this long gorilla trek includes an hour of a face-to-face encounter.
You will be required to have a good fitness level since you will go through slippery and tough time while tracking gorillas. When you sit with these mountain gorillas it is one of the most amazing experiences you will ever have.

Day 5: Transfer from Bwindi to Kampala/Entebbe
Today, you drive back to Entebbe along Bumpy and dusty roads. On your way, you will have stop over for some photographs of the terraced hillside, long horned Ankole cattle of the region and the equator for some break and lunch. Proceed to Entebbe International Airport for your international flight or get dropped off at the hotel.
